Cheesy Garlic Chicken Sliders Everyone Will Want Seconds Of

There’s something about warm, cheesy sliders that makes them disappear almost as soon as they hit the table, and these Cheesy Garlic Chicken Sliders are one of the easiest versions you can make. Soft Hawaiian rolls are filled with juicy chicken, plenty of melted cheese, and a creamy garlic flavor before being brushed with buttery garlic goodness and baked until golden. They’re simple enough for a quick family dinner but delicious enough to serve on game day, at parties, or whenever you want something comforting without spending hours in the kitchen.

For this recipe, you’ll need 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls, 2 cups shredded cooked chicken, 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/3 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sour cream, 2 minced garlic cloves, 3 tablespoons melted butter, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, and a little salt and black pepper. You can use leftover chicken or a store-bought rotisserie chicken to make the recipe even faster.

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Without separating the individual rolls, slice the entire sheet of Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place the bottom half in a lightly greased baking dish. Mix the shredded chicken with the mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the rolls, then cover it with the mozzarella and cheddar cheese.Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.

Mix the melted butter with a small pinch of garlic powder and brush it generously over the tops. Cover the baking dish loosely with foil and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the cheese inside is completely melted. Keep an eye on them during the final few minutes because Hawaiian rolls can brown quickly.

Let the sliders rest for a few minutes before cutting them apart and serving them warm. When you pull the first one away, you should get that irresistible combination of buttery bread, creamy chicken, and stretchy melted cheese. Serve them on their own or with fries, potato wedges, pickles, or your favorite dipping sauce. They’re especially good fresh from the oven while the centers are still hot and gooey.
